Distinctor (Pty) Ltd (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the https://wyzepal.com (and/or https://*.wyzepal.com) website (the “Site”) , the WyzePal mobile application (the “App”) and the WyzePal Desktop Software (collectively, the “Products and Services”)

Thanks for using our products and services (“Services”). The Services are provided by Distinctor (Pty) Ltd trading as “WyzePal”, located at Wyze-House, B0559 Nwajaheni Village, Nwamitwa, 0871, South Africa.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, use our mobile app, use our desktop app, place an order, fill out a form, respond to a survey, subscribe to the newsletter and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site, Apps and/or Software. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information, social security number and/or identity number.
Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously.
We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site, App and/or Software related activities.
Information and content you provide through Streams
We collect information that you share through streams, this include content, communications and other information you provide when you create and/or subscribe to a stream, or share content and message or communicate with others through streams. This can include information contained in a file or photo or about the content that you provide (e.g. metadata), such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created, your language, typing speed, typing errors (typos), new language that you develop to aid with your communication (e.g. FYI to mean For Your Information), solutions to problems, steps by step solution path-ways.
Our systems automatically process content and communications that you and others provide to analyze context and what’s in them for numerous purposes which include to learn how to communicate with other systems, computers, machines, robots, or to educate themselves (i.e machine learning) about specific topics, or subjects, how to solve certain problems, recipes, know-hows, history about things, peoples, and/or to author such history about certain topics based on your usage of our products and services.
We will also collect information about the people, Streams, topics, and groups that you are connected to and your level of interactions with them and/or in them as you use our Products and services, such as people you communicate with the most or groups that you are part of, streams that you are subscribed to, topics that you interact with, the streams you share your views the most, topic or streams that you view the most. This will include the time, frequency and duration of your activities within those streams, groups, topics and our product and services as a whole.
Non-personal identification information
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site or whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device (“Usage Data”). Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site or Services, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data and other similar information.
When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers, other diagnostic data and other similar information.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How we protect your information
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site and/or Servers.

Streams may have additional licenses which will govern how the data shared through such streams may be shared and/or distributed. It is the responsibility of each user and/or stream subscriber to share the content which they have the authority to share and ensure compliance with the copyright laws as they use information from a stream or provide information to a streams and/or topics.
When you share and communicate using our Products, you choose the recipients and/or the audience for what you share. For example, when you send a private message/chat on WyzePal, only the recipient/s which you send the information to will have access to such information. If you send a message or share content through a stream, all subscribers of that stream will have access to that message and/or contents.
All information, message and/or contents sent and/or shared through public streams will be publicly available in full to anyone who have WyzePal account. This includes your username, any information and content you share on a WyzePal’s public streams or any other public forum and/or discussion.
You should consider who you choose to share, discuss and/or collaborate with, because people who can see your activity and/or contents on our Products can choose to share it with others on and off our Products, including people and businesses outside the audience and/or streams that you shared with.
Transfer Of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

Distinctor (Pty) Ltd (“WyzePal”) may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

People who have Wyzepal account can see signals telling them whether you are active on our Products, or not and also when you last used our Products.

Information collected by these third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies, not this one.
Change of Ownership
If the ownership or control of all or part of our Products or their assets changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner.

We also provide information and content to research partners and academics to conduct research that advances scholarship and innovation that supports our business or mission and enhances discovery and innovation on topics of general social welfare, science and engineering, technological advancement, public interest, health and well-being.

People who have your organization’s Wyzepal account can see your names, email addresses and Profile Pictures. So please be carefully when selecting teams and/or organizations to subscribe to.
Third party websites
Users may find advertising or other content on our Site, Apps and/or Software that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site, Apps and/or Software. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.
We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

Compliance with children’s online privacy protection act
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Site, Apps and/or Software from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

How long we retain your data (blog and News pages)
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
