WyzePal (Pty) Ltd (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the https://*.wyzepal.com and/or wyzepal.com website (the “Site”) , the WyzePal web app (the “WebApp”), the WyzePal mobile application (the “App”) and the WyzePal Desktop App/Software (colletively, the “Products and Services”)

1. Welcome to WyzePal

Thanks for using our products and services (“Services”). The Services are provided by WyzePal (Pty) Ltd trading as “WyzePal”, located at Wyze-House, B0559 Nwajaheni Village, Nwamitwa, 0871, South Africa.

We use your data to provide and improve our Products and Services. By using our products and Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terminology and/or words used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Services.

2. Intoduction

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which WyzePal (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter refered to as “WyzePal”) collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the https://*.wyzepal.com and/or wyzepal.com website (“Site”), the WyzePal web app (the “WebApp”), the WyzePal mobile Application (the “App”), WyzePal Desktop (the “Desktop App”), the WyzePal Blog (the “Blog”) and any WyzePal products, realms, organisations, software, data feeds and services. This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by WyzePal.

3. Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, use our mobile app, use our desktop app, place an order, fill out a form, respond to a survey, subscribe to the newsletter and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site, Apps and/or Software. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information, social security number and/or identity number.

Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously.

We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site, App and/or Software related activities or some parts of the Service may not function and/or work properly.

We collect information that you share through streams, this include content, communications and other information you provide when you create and/or subscribe to a stream, or share content and message or communicate with others through streams. This can include information contained in a file or photo or about the content that you provide (e.g. metadata), such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created, your language, typing speed, typing errors (typos), new language that you develop to aid with your communication (e.g. FYI to mean For Your Information), solutions to problems, steps by step solution path-ways.

Our systems automatically process content and communications that you and others provide to analyse context and what’s in them for numerous purposes which include to learn how to communicate with other systems, computers, mechines, robots, or to educate themselves (i.e mechine learning) about specific topics, or subjects, how to solve certain problems, recipes, know-hows, history about things, peoples, and/or to auther such history about certain topics based on your usage of our products and services.

5. Usage Data

We will also collect information about the people, Streams, topics, and groups that you are connected to and your level of interactions with them and/or in them as you use our Products and services, such as people you communicate with the most or groups that you are part of, streams that you are subscribed to, topics that you interact with, the streams you share your views the most, topic or streams that you view the most. This will include the time, frequency and duration of your activities within those streams, groups, topics and our product and services as a whole.

6. Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site or whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device (“Usage Data”). Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site or Services, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data and other similar information.

The email address and/or cellphone numbers Users provide for subscription and/or for order processing, will only be used to send them information and updates pertaining to their order and/or membershp. If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email or User may contact us via email: support@wyzepal.com. or may use the FeedBack Options provited with our services.

11. How we protect your information

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site and/or Servers.

Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

It is the reponsibility of each user and/or stream subscriber who share and/or use content from such streams to comply with the copyright laws as they use information such streams or provide information to a streams and/or topics.

When you share and communicate using our Products, you choose the recepients and/or the audience for what you share. For example, when you send a private message/chat on WyzePal, only the recepient/s which you send the information to will have access to such information. If you send a message or share content through a stream, all subscribers of that stream will have access to that message and/or contents.

All information, message and/or contents sent and/or shared to or through public sreams will be publicly available in full to anyone who have an account in such Realm/Organization. This includes your username, any information and content you share on a WyzePal’s public streams or any other public forum and/or discussion.
You should consider who you choose to share, discuss and/or collaborate with, because people who can see your activity and/or contents on our Products can choose to share it with others on and off our Products, including people and businesses outside the audience and/or streams that you shared with.

14. Transfer Of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

WyzePal will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

People who have Wyzepal account in the same organization as you may see signals telling them whether you are active on our Products, or not and also when you last used our Products.

17. Apps, websites and third-party integrations on or using our Products.

When you choose to use third-party apps, websites or other services that use, or are integrated with our Products, they can receive information about you and the contents you share with them. Information collected by these third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies, not this one.

18. Change of Ownership

If the ownership or control of all or part of our Products or their assets changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner.

19. Researchers and academics.

We also provide some of your information and content to research partners and academics to conduct research that advances scholarship and innovation that supports our business or mission and enhances discovery and innovation on topics of general social welfare, science and engineering, technological advancement, public interest, health and well-being.

Users may find advertising or other content on our Site, Apps and/or Software that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and we are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site, Apps and/or Software. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

22. Advertising

Ads appearing on our site may be delivered to Users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile non personal identification information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, amongst other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This privacy policy does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

Some of the ads may be served by Google. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to Users based on their visit to our Site, Apps and/or Software and other sites on the Internet. Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Site, Apps and/or Software from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

WyzePal has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, post a notification on the main page of our Site,revise the updated date at the top of this page,send you an email and/or notifications via our chat services. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

By using our products and services, of which includes our Site, Mobile Apps and Desktop Softwares, you signify your acceptance of this policy and terms of service. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site and/or any of our products and services.
